Personal information refers to any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual. How we handle your personal information will depend on whether we act as a “controller” or as a “processor” for the personal information. The controller is the entity that decides how and why to process personal information. The processor processes personal information on behalf of the controller at the controller’s direction.
The third-party service providers and APLW each act as an independent controller with respect to their particular use of Learner/Client Data.
APLW acknowledges and agrees that we are responsible for complying with all applicable laws and regulations related to the protection of personal information for which we are controllers.
Parents or guardians who believe that APLW might have any personal information from or about a child under the age of 13 may submit a request to Admin@APlifewellness.com for us to remove such information.
APLW collects personal information about you in several different ways, depending on how you interact with our service platforms. Please note that the types of personal information we collect differs depending on how you’re using our services, for example, as an Academy Student or a Private Coaching Client.
We collect personal information you directly provide to us. We may also receive personal information about you from others, e.g. from another user or our payment processors.
When you send an email to the email address displayed on our website we collect your email address and any other information you provide in that email (such as your name, telephone number and the information contained in any signature block in your email).
Transfer and storage of your information
We use a third-party email provider to store emails you send us. Our third-party email provider is Microsoft.
When you contact us using our contact form, we collect name, email address, IP address. We also collect any other information you provide to us when you complete the contact form, including any optional information, such as: your quiz and assessment answers.
If you do not provide the mandatory information required by our contact form, you will not be able to submit the contact form and we will not receive your enquiry.
Transfer and storage of your information
Messages you send us via our contact form will be stored outside the European Economic Area on our third-party servers in the USA. .
When you contact us by phone, we collect your phone number and any information provided to us during your conversation with us.
We do not record phone calls. (Note: Webinars and Live Group Sessions may be recorded; this will include any information you may provide while using a phone service for participation. See section on Peer-to-Peer Video Conferencing, Web Conferencing, Webinars, Screen Sharing, and Similar Technology.)
If you contact us through social media, we will collect any information you provide to us in any communications you send us.
Social Media, as defined by the law, refers to web-based applications and on-line forums that allow users to interact, share and publish content such as text, links, photos, audio and video; includes all means of communicating or posting information or content of any sort on the Internet, including to your own or someone else’s web log or blog, journal or diary, personal web site, social networking or affinity web site, web bulletin board or a chat room, whether or not associated or affiliated with the company.
Reason why necessary to perform a contract: where your message relates to us providing you with goods or services or taking steps at your request prior to providing you with our goods and services (for example, providing you with information about such goods and services), we will process your information in order to do so.
To purchase a course, Coaching, or other service through one of our service platforms, you will need to provide us with certain personal information, such as your name, address, and information about the service you are purchasing. You may also need to provide certain payment-related information directly to any third-party payment processors, as described below.
When you enroll in a course, Coaching service, or other service, APLW will collect personal information relating to your participation in our service programs, such as courses enrolled in, quiz results, lecture progress and certifications.
The below list is a sample of our primary third-party integration affiliates and should not be assumed as a complete list:
Peer-to-Peer Video Conferencing, Web Conferencing, Webinars, Screen Sharing, and Similar Technology. When you participate in a web conferencing event, we collect information provided to us during your participation in these events.
We do record group events for users to playback/view at their convenience; we do not record private events such as 1-1 private coaching. (Note: if you use a phone to participate in such event, this section of the policy supersedes the phone section.)
We use a third-party web conferencing provider to host live and private events. Our third-party provider is Zoom.
We automatically collect certain information from your interactions with our learning platform, website, or other services.
When you register and create an account on our website, we collect the following information name, email address, IP address and any other information you provide to us when you complete the registration form, including any optional information, such as phone number or company name.
If you do not provide the mandatory information required by the registration form, you will not be able to register or create an account on our website.
Account Information. To use certain features of our services (such as to enroll in a course or register for coaching), you may need to register for an account with a third-party provider, such as LearnDash. To do so, you’ll need to provide us/them with certain personal information, such as your name, email address, and a personally created unique password.
We collect and use information from individuals who place an order on our website.
APLW Service Plans. When you subscribe to a paid APLW plan, we will collect certain personal information from you for the purposes of billing your subscription fees and any payment service fees, such as your billing address. You’ll also need to provide certain payment-related information directly to any third-party payment processors, as described below.
When you place an order for goods or services on our website, we collect your name, email address, billing address, shipping address, company name (if applicable), and VAT number (if applicable).
If you do not provide this information, you will not be able to purchase goods or services from us on our website or enter into a contract with us.
Reason why necessary to perform a contract: we need the mandatory information collected by our checkout form to establish who the contract is with and to contact you to fulfil our obligations under the contract, including sending you receipts and order confirmations.
We also collect optional information from you, such as your phone number. We also ask you if you would like to receive marketing communications from us. For further information, see ‘Marketing communications’ in this section below.
Legitimate interests: you consent to us processing any optional information you provide by submitting that information to us.
After you place an order on our website you will need to make payment for the goods or services you have ordered. In order to process your payment, we use a third-party payment processor. Your payment will be processed by the third-party payment processor you choose to process your payment via a payment gateway.
The third-party payment processor you choose to process your payment collects, uses and processes your information, including payment information, in accordance with their privacy policies.

When you sign up for our e-newsletter on our website or opt to receive news, offers and any other information from us by entering their name and email address and clicking subscribe or ticking a box at checkout indicating that you would like to receive our content, we collect your name, email address and any other information you provide.

APLW only shares your personal information with third parties under the circumstances described below. We do not sell or otherwise disclose personal information we collect about you for monetary or other valuable consideration.
Please keep in mind that all of the information that you share or content that you publish in your posts, comments, or other public portions of our courses becomes public information to all others who have access to that course. Because this information is publicly available, we cannot control how others treat it. We ask you to exercise care in deciding what personal information you choose to share, and refrain from sharing your sensitive personal information and those of others.
APLW may send your personal information to a third-party when you give us consent to do so or at your direction. For example, this may occur when we complete a transaction at your request.
We may share personal information with vendors, consultants, payment processors, and other service providers that provide us with certain services and process personal information on our behalf. These services may include providing customer support, performing business and sales analysis, supporting our website functionality, facilitating payment processing, and supporting contests, surveys, and other features offered on within our services.
These service providers are not permitted to use your personal information for any other purpose, and their use of such personal information will be subject to appropriate confidentiality and security measures.
We sometimes partner with third parties to offer you events, promotions, contests and other programs. To participate in these offers, you may be required to provide your email address and other personal information. - protect and defend APLW’s or a third-party’s rights and property, or the safety of APLW, our users, our employees, or others

We will process your personal information for our legitimate interests or those of others (as long as the processing is not outweighed by your data protection interests). This includes but is not limited to, preventing fraud and other abuse, ensuring the security of our services, protecting our legal rights and interests, conducting market research and product development, and for marketing purposes.
We will process your personal information to comply with all applicable laws, regulations, court orders, and government and law enforcement agencies’ requests.
We will process your personal information when you have given us consent to do so, such as when you consent to receive certain communications from us.

If you believe that we have not adequately addressed your concerns or wish to report an alleged infringement of applicable data privacy laws, you may file a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
APLW gives you choices with respect to our use of your personal information. These choices include accessing, updating, or deleting your personal information, as well as choosing what communications you would like to receive from us. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights related to your personal information (see the Jurisdiction Specific Provisions section below for more information about location-specific privacy rights).
You can also choose not to provide us with certain personal information, but that may result in you being unable to use certain features of our services because that information may be required for you to register for an account, purchase APLW Services, enroll in courses, participate in our promotional offerings, get customer support, or engage in other activities with our company.
Please note that in cases where you wish to exercise your data privacy rights with respect to personal information for which a third-party is the controller, you’ll need to directly contact the third-party to exercise your rights.

You can access and update certain personal information about you by visiting your Account Settings.
You can also submit a data privacy request to receive a copy of personal information that we hold about you, free of charge.
If you believe that any personal information, we are holding about you is incorrect or incomplete, we will work with you to make corrections deemed necessary. Note that we may not accommodate a request to change information if we believe the change would violate any law or legal requirement or cause the information to be incorrect.
If you’d like APLW to delete your account or delete personal information it holds about you, you can submit a deletion request. Note that when we delete your account, personal information that you have shared with others (for example, through comments or an intake form) may still be visible. APLW will also retain certain personal information about you where reasonably necessary to comply with our legal obligations or for our legitimate business purposes.
You can request to access, update, or delete your personal information by emailing us at Admin@APlifewellness.com from the email address associated with your account.
If you would like to make a request under the privacy laws of your jurisdiction, please let us know where you reside and which rights you’d like to exercise. For more information about exercising your jurisdiction-specific privacy rights, please see section ‘Jurisdiction Specific Provisions’ below.
To protect your privacy, we need to verify your identity before we process your data privacy request. As part of this process, we will need to receive the request from you via the email address associated with your account. Depending on the nature of the request, we may also need to obtain additional information necessary for us to verify your identity.
You may designate an authorized agent to make a data privacy request on your behalf. To do so, we will need to receive written permission by you or a valid power of attorney, and we may also verify the validity of the request directly with you.
You can opt out of receiving some or all of our promotional communications through the unsubscribe link in the email or by emailing Admin@APlifewellness.com.
If you opt out of promotional communications, we may still send you transactional communications, such as service announcements, administrative and legal notices, and information about your account, without offering you the opportunity to opt out of these communications. If you no longer wish to use our services or receive any communications from us (except for those that are legally required), please contact Admin@APlifewellness.com to have us delete your account.
Please note that opting out of promotional email communications only affects future communications from us. If we have already provided your information to a third-party (such as a credit card processing partner) before you changed your preferences or updated your information, you may have to change your preferences directly with that third-party.
Most web browsers are set to accept cookies by default. If you prefer, you can usually set your browser to remove or reject cookies. Note, however, that deleting cookies or directing your browser to refuse them may limit your ability to use certain portions of our services that require cookies to function.
Users in the European Economic Area, UK, and Switzerland
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable laws, users in the European Economic Area (“EEA”), UK, and Switzerland have the right, under certain conditions, to request access to, rectification of, or erasure of their personal information; request restriction of processing; object to processing; withdraw consent from processing; and the right to data portability.

APLW only collects and processes personal information about you where it has lawful bases for doing so. The specific legal basis applied to the processing will depend on the context in which the personal information is being processed, including the service used and the type of personal information involved.
APLW uses a range of physical, technical, and administrative security measures to protect your personal information. For example, only authorized contractors are permitted to access personal information, and they may do so only for permitted business functions. In addition, we use trusted third-party providers in the transmission of financial information between your system and ours, and to help prevent unauthorized persons from gaining access to your personal information. However, no method of data transmission or storage system is absolutely secure, and we cannot guarantee that your personal information will not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed in the event of a breach of any of our security measures or those of a third-party provider.
Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password to access certain parts of our services, you are responsible for protecting this password and keeping it confidential. As the safety and security of your information also depends on the precautions you take, we ask you not to share your password with anyone. If you believe your password or the security of your account has been compromised, you should change your password immediately and contact Admin@APlifewellness.com with any concerns.
We save personal information we collect for as long as it is necessary for the purposes for which the personal information is collected and processed. Generally, we will keep your personal information until your account is deleted, or as needed to provide you with our services. We will also retain certain personal information to comply with our legal obligations or for our legitimate business purposes.
APLW is based in the United States and it stores, processes, and transfers information in and to servers and databases located in the United States. It may also store, process, and transfer information in and to servers in other countries depending on the location of its affiliates and service providers. In most cases, all information is stored, processed, and/or transferred via a trusted third-party server database. APLW does not host their own private servers.
If you use our services outside the United States, including in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States. By accessing our services or otherwise giving us information, you consent to the transfer of information to the United States and other countries outside your country of residence.
We do not access log data from our website server unless we are investigating suspicious or potential criminal activity, we do not make, nor do we allow our hosting provider to make, any attempt to identify you from the information collected via server logs.
We use the information collected by our website server logs to analyze how our website users interact with our website and its features. For example, we analyze the number of visits and unique visitors we receive, the time and date of the visit, the location of the visit and the operating system and browser used.
We use the information gathered from the analysis of this information to improve our website.
